Remarks: Sailfins earn their name by swimming slowly through the water, waving their fins like a sail. Sailfin Plecos (Pterygoplichthys gibbiceps) are light brown with dark brown spots throughout their bodies and fins. They are an easy-going fish that only require a few dark spots in the tank to hide in during the day. They eat a variety of vegetables and algae wafers, as well as algae and the occasional meaty food.
