Yellow Mara Elongatus
Remarks: Metriaclima usisyae, formerly M. sp. Elongatus Usisya, are found around Usisya and Mara Rocks. Females are golden-brown with black fins, while males are a striking yellow with subtle, dark bands running vertically down their flanks. There may be some light blue barring in the forehead and back as well. Like all mbuna, they are typically only aggressive towards other males that look similar, so keeping them with fish of a different appearance will avoid most aggression issues.
