Rohan's Tear-Spot Barb (Dawkinsia rohani)
Remarks: Rohan's Tear Spot Barb is a large, robust species that requires high oxygenation and clean water. When young, they appear as gold-colored barbs with a spot on the caudal peduncle. When mature, however, they develop greens and reds, as well as elongated fins in the males. They are very active fish and will need a tank of at least 75 gallons when mature. They look wonderful with Clown Loaches and large community fish.
If kept in small numbers, it is likely for this fish to become stressed and nip the fins of tankmates. The best way to prevent this is to keep them in groups of 6 or more so they are preoccupied with displaying and sparring rather than harassing other species.
