Remarks: The Celebes rainbowfish comes from the island of Sulawesi which used to be known as Celebes, hence the common name of this fish. In the wild they can be found in clear, swift streams and in estuaries. Being a fairly skittish shoaling fish, the celebes rainbowfish does best in a group of 6 or more. They can be kept in mildly brackish conditions with other peaceful, small species like some gobies and halfbeaks.
